Ellis Valentine is now demanding to be traded after being verbally berated by Mets manager George Bamberger, in front of the entire team & during the April 9th game against the Cubs, after failing to run out ground ball out that would have resulted in him being safe at first base.
Valentine, spoke out again today to the press about the situation: "I want out. There's no way I'm allowing this to happen to me again. This organization had told me at the beginning of the season that I was to be one of the important guys here on the field. Important guys don't get talked to like this."
